Following the footsteps of Nintendo, Sega has opted out of appearing at the Fall 2000 edition of the Tokyo Game Show.

No specefic reason has been given, but Sega of Japan is planning on having a separate show in order to demonstrate the online capabilities and direction of the console. Expect a lot of titles to be at this show later this Fall.

As for TGS, a measly 8 titles will appear courtesy of third parties. It is doubtful any of the 8 titles will be groundbreaking or even worth covering.
