The game is somewhat a semi-sequel to the highly successful Mortal Kombat 4. Don't get me wrong, the heart of this game is still MK4 but with some special things. First of all, it has more characters, they are Cyrax, Kitana, Milliena, Kung Lao, and Baraka. Second, every character has his/her own full motion video ending thanks to the massive space of GD-ROM. Even the secret one, so this is the perfect opportunity to see what Noob Saibot does. For you cheaters out there you're in luck, Goro will still be in the game. But don't forget our good friend Meat. What does that mean for you? Well, nothing if your like me and uses a regular character, but for people that aren't quite good at it will have a cake-walk against the computer.

The graphics in the game in some cases are better than the arcade. Each character model will have at least 3,000 polygons! There will be more backgrounds than there were in the original MK4. There would have to be if you're going to introduce new characters. Although I don't have any information on which levels will be in the game, but rest assured that there will be levels from MK2 and MK3.

Midway is putting this arcade smash as a launch title and MK fans alike will play it at 9/9/99
