Monster Breed is a Pocket Monsters like game developed by NEC-IC. Players begin by creating a monster from scratch from a wide assortment of creatures. After you created your own monster you can give him food, you can entertain him and you can train your created monster (your created monster is a virtual pet).

After various adventures you will call for the monster to battle or to travel to the dungeon and players can see the results of your monster's hard work. You can save your monster with the Sega VMS. The VMS allows players to transport data around, swap and compare with their friends, and generally continue with the game on the move.

The graphics of Monster Breed are beautiful, each monster is constructed with tens of thousands of polygons.

Monster Breed is set for release shortly after Dreamcast's November launch in Japan. Monster Breed is unlikely to appear in U.S or Europe.
