This is the first time that Sega can port one of their succesful Virtua Striker Arcade games to the console. The Saturn couldn't handle the first Virtua Striker game on the Model 2 board. Since Sega has re-created the new Virtua Striker 2000 game from model 3 to Noami, it should be an easy job to convert the game to the Dreamcast.
Here's some information of and several screenshots of the Dreamcast version, renamed to "Virtua Striker 2000.1".
The game will include over 30 playable soccer nations and the following game modes:
Arcade: Standard Team VS Team match.
International Cup: Battle out with 32 soccer nations for the World Cup. In this big league mode.
Variations:
Tournament: Customize your own Tournament.
League: Same as above only with qualifications.
Ranking Mode: View your records, top striker etc..
Match Play:
VS Match: Battle out with your friends.
PK Match: Play agains the CPU.
Replay Mode:
This is an interesting mode that allows you to view and save replays of your best goals/actions, by using the vms unit.
Options:
Change weather, play time, injuries, fouls etc.
Sega will release the game on December 2nd in Japan and the European version will be released somewhere in January. No information yet if the game will come to the U.S..
