The Latest Capcom Sega Saturn Conversion is of an arcade game which has been around for about 2 years. If you are a regular arcade gamer, you will no doubt have played this games, and its sequel, 'Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter' (Capcom like the long names). Anyway.. This is still a great game despite being a couple of years old. Graphics Initially the graphics seem to be adequate, moving along at a great frame rate thanks to the 4Mb cart. The fighters are big and bright, in the true Capcom style. But then you start seeing the special moves, and they look amazing. Then you get a chance to do a Team Super.... The massive sprites on the screen look amazing, especially with two large beams (i.e. Cyclops and Ryu). And there is no slowdown. None. Even with the massive characters such as juggernaut, and sabertooth on the stages with loads of background movement. It is a masterpiece. And they told us the Saturn was dying. Characters All your Favourite SFers and X-Men, and in one game as well. What more can i say?? The characters are: SF: Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Gouki(secret, but not very), Nash, Dhalsim Zangief, Cammy, and of course Bison. And The Marvel Characters: Wolvers, Sabrtooth, Cyclops, Rogue, Gambit, Magneto, Storm, and Juggernaut. Two Player mode: What would a Capcom game be with no Vs mode? This is the main reason most people buy the any Capcom games. Beating your mates is great fun, having better tactics, like resting your characters when they have been weakened, or using a team counter to deflect almost certain death. The Tag element to the game certainly makes it much more fun than the usual Capcom games. Sound: The sound in games has never been Capcoms strong point. The effects are adequate, and the music is average, although some tracks do stand out as being much better than the rest. The sound in the conversion is virtually the same as the arcade.
